Privacy on my website

This page explains how information is used on my website. If you have questions about the client information you give me when arranging care, email me at donnasdogsandtails@gmail.com.

Browsing

I don’t use analytics, advertising trackers or an online booking system on this website. The contact form uses a temporary session cookie to protect against unwanted submissions. It is needed for the form to work and is not used for advertising or tracking. My hosting provider, Unlimited Web Hosting UK, may process ordinary server logs, including IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the website.

Sending me a message

The message form sends your name, message and the phone number or email address you supply through my hosting provider to my Gmail inbox. I use these details to answer your enquiry and discuss pet care. The website does not keep a copy of your message. To limit spam, it keeps sending counters using a protected, hashed version of your IP address. Only the last 24 hours count towards the limit; older entries are removed when the next submission is processed. Your form session normally ends when you close your browser.

Calling or emailing me

My call and email links open your phone or email app. Please share only the details I need to arrange your pet’s care. I use Gmail for my email.

My client form

The downloadable PDF is a blank form. Filling it in on your device does not submit it to this website. Contact me to arrange how to return your completed form. Please avoid sending house access codes or key locations in an initial enquiry.

Facebook updates

My website checks my public Facebook Page for updates through a private server connection. Only public posts are selected. The server keeps a short-lived list of post links and dates so it does not need to check Facebook for every visitor.

The posts themselves load from Facebook automatically when you open the homepage. Loading them shares your IP address and browser information with Meta, which may use cookies. You can read Meta’s privacy policy.

Opening a Facebook link takes you to Facebook, where its own privacy policy applies.
